Job Details
PMP Recruitment is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst within the automotive sector for a client based in Ebbw vale.
Candidates will have previous experience within supply chain and logistics and be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.
Salary - £13.50 per hour, £500+ per week
Shifts: 8:15-16:30 Monday - Thursday and 8:15-14:30 Friday - 38 hours per week

Job Purpose Statement
Ensure that all customer requirements are met in a timely manner at the lowest possible cost to the business.
Ensure all customer demands are met with zero sales backlog.
Ensure internal targets are achieved for inventory control (>12 stock turn per annum) and freight costs.
Procurement and scheduling activities to cover material availability to meet customer demand.
Principal Accountabilities
Customer order processing and Idoc resolution.
Effective and timely responses to all customer enquiries and ensure that deliveries can be achieved within the customer nominated lead-times, or an alternative plan agreed.
Ensure materials are available to meet the customer requirements whilst maintaining internal idle time less than budgeted levels.
Ensure supplier lead-times and MOQs are met so as to achieve customer demand and minimise inventory.
Plan and control transport so as to ensure lowest possible freight cost whilst ensuring customer demand is met, there are no special transport costs and all fair and reasonable costs are recharged to the customer before the transport is confirmed.
Interface with colleagues in support departments, e.g. Quality, Central Purchasing, to improve total supply chain performance.
Assist in the transfer planning of business from other plants, ensuring all relevant SAP and contact data is transferred and that manufacturing and inventory is transferred with no disruption to the customer.
Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.
Assist in the planning and introduction of new projects.
Ensure accuracy and maintain MRP and BOM data within SAP. This may involve liaison with other departments who have the administration rights to change the data within SAP.
Experience
1 - 5 years experience in production planning or a procurement function.
Preferably automotive experience.
Experience of low volume batch manufacturing.
Experience in the building and maintenance of customer relationships.
Qualifications
Degree/HND in Logistics/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or Business Administration qualification.
Individual with considerable experience in a related discipline may also be considered.
Knowledge
Working knowledge of SAP/R3 modules.
European language skills (especially German) would be an advantage.
Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, e.g. Kanban, lean production would be an advantage.
Problem solving techniques and root cause identification.
Windows based PC skills.
