Claims Management Specialist
Up to £26,300
Basingstoke
Permanent
Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm
Our Basingstoke client is looking for Claims Management Specialist to join their growing team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times with a good telephone manner.
- Investigate all claims within an allocation through the application of medical knowledge and the accurate interpretation of policy documentation
- Proactively identify appropriate claims for further in-depth investigation and/or settlement potential, utilising direct contact on all claims unless documented as inappropriate
- Communicate claims decisions in relation to continued claims in a timely and appropriate manner and ensure that communication during the assessment process is regular, timely and clearly documented.
- Provide payment / authorisation of medical fees on a daily basis to ensure service standards are met.
- Chase all required medical and non-medical information, within agreed time-scales, keeping the customer informed at all times to ensure all evidence is received in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all customers and stakeholders
- Work co-operatively within the team and department in achieving service standards and ensuring appropriate work balance, participating in team social responsibility initiatives.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to communicate with claimants in an empathetic manner
Experience Microsoft Office
Strong Customer Service
The ability to make decisions under pressure
The ability to deal with conflict appropriately
Self-confidence and the ability to influence others
Self-management skills
Free Parking on site and close to Basingstoke train station.
