JOB TITLE: Technical Administrator - 12 month FTC
LOCATION: Bridgwater
SALARY: £20,000 - £21,000 DOE
HOURS: Full time, Monday to Friday
Office Angels Taunton are currently recruiting for a Technical Administrator to cover a 12 month maternity cover, joining a firmly established, well known and market leading Engineering company in based Bridgwater, Somerset. You will be joining a driven and passionate team of 9, who are very welcoming and friendly and be supporting them with day to day administrative tasks to maximise the efficiency of the department whilst ensuring the work carried out meets with the Company's quality standards.
This is a really varied role and duties will include:
Supporting the project teams with contacting suppliers for information, creating part numbers on the company's sage system so that items can be ordered by the purchasing team.
Compiling information from various sources to make sure the information leaving the department is correct
Collecting the relevant sections of information generated by the team and collating into single documents ready for printing and issuing to customers for example user manuals issued with the machines designed by the department
Working with the team to produce packs of information to be issues to the manufacturing team
Supporting the design department offering support to project leaders and design engineers on BOM Generation, BOM enquiries (Bill of Materials), working with Project Engineers ensure that BOM's are up to date and accurate
Attending all design reviews and complete the technical specification documents with the notes from the meetings
Discussing technical information with engineers and suppliers - specific knowledge will be gained during the role
Arranging the designs team travel as required when members of the team need to attend site
Working with the project engineers ensuring that manuals for machines are printed out and sent to sub-contractor for all machine builds
Other administration support required by the departmentThe successful candidate must have a very strong Administrator/Coordinator experience, and ideally come from a manufacturing or engineering background. An interest in Design would be highly desirable however not essential. You must have strong IT skills with knowledge of SAGE 200, BOM's (Bill of materials) and the ability to read drawings, along with the following:
Well-organised and motivated
Great communicator with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
