Assistant Plant Manager
Ayrshire
£30,000 - £50,000 + Company Pension + Holidays + Sick Pay
Rise Energy are looking for a versatile and capable Manager with experience in the manufacturing sector to play a significant role in the upcoming expansion plans of a large manufacturing site.
In this role you will working closely alongside the Plant Manager to share the workload for the site by taking on a range of responsibilities covering IT, supply chain, HR, H&S and finance. You will be actively involved in managing both their internal and contractor workforce and with driving continuous improvement across the site.
The ideal candidate will be capable of hitting the ground running and handling the large amount of responsibilities that come with managing a fast-paced manufacturing site. They will be a confident leader with a goal-driven and optimistic work ethic that sees them achieve success no matter the challenges that are put their way.
This is a great role for someone who thrives off of direct interaction and the organisation of a diverse workforce, and for someone who enjoys being presented with different challenges on a daily basis.
The role:
* Managing the internal workforce of the site as well as contractors and consultants
* Working closely alongside the Plant Manager to ensure that operations onsite are running smoothly and efficiently
* Involvement in a variety of managerial duties covering everything from IT and finance to HR and H&S
* Drive continuous improvement and contribute towards the development of company philosophy
* Ensuring that current and upcoming projects fall within time and budget guidelines
The person
* Versatile managerial skillset and comfortable with tackling duties that range on a daily basis
* Extensive experience in previous managerial positions, ideally in a manufacturing environment
* A confident and outgoing people person who can lead a diverse workforce
* Capable of using a variety of IT software
* Great awareness of Health & Safety guidelines
* Full UK driving license
