Stock Controller

My client is a leading family business who is an SME manufacturer based in Alfreton, Derbyshire. The business has been operating as a family run enterprise for over 72 years and has show rapid expansion across the country. They supply to both retail outlets, construction businesses and fast-moving production lines.

Description

As a Stock Controller you will report directly into the on-site Logistics Planning Manager. The role will be based in Alfreton, Derbyshire and have overall site responsibility for the following aspects.

Review stock on hold and monitor status to maintain product availability.
Producing KPI reports around daily stock management
Assisting the planning team to schedule manufacturing production
Forecasting with the Stock Management team to ensure no overstocking or understocking.
Tracking customer shipments via warehouse and logistics providers
Schedule raw material into the warehouse & production lines
Ensure all products are delivered OTIF (on time in full) to a variety of retail and corporate customers.
Conduct stock counts and report on adjustments, overage and short-dated stock.Profile

The successful Stock Controller will have a strong background in inventory management, production planner and/or warehousing logistics, along with the following:

1+ years experience in a Stock, Inventory or Production Planning based role.
Commutable to the Alfreton area of Derbyshire
Experience producing KPI (key performance indicator) reports
Experience with WMS and SAP systems would be advantageous.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills - (Microsoft Excel would be beneficial) Job Offer
