Job Details

We are currently looking for an Office 365 Development Lead to work in the Faculty office within our Higher Education client. Start ASAP, duration until end of July 2021 with a possibility of being taken on a fixed term contract, pay £17.95ph- £21.05ph, normal hours are Monday to Friday, 9-5, 35 hours per week, however the exact working pattern is flexible (although there will be some meetings to attend within these regular working hours). Equipment can be provided, although it would be advantageous if you have a laptop to start on immediately as there can be a delay in getting equipment posted out at the moment. Finally, the role would be based WC2, however, our client is currently working from home and it is unlikely that you would be required to come onto campus before June, and even after this it would not be a regular occurrence.

Working with the Faculty Business Coordinator to develop planned projects, and then acting as a project lead, for increasing the use of Office 365 to support administrative procedure and process within the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences. This includes consideration of data principles and information management

Scope out projects with key stakeholders

Understanding of scope and possibilities of Microsoft 365

Building of applications using Microsoft 365 (including Power Apps). This should include minimising user interaction and maximising automation where possible

Supporting automation of processes using Microsoft 365 (Power Automate)

Building of reports from a range of data sources, accessible to a range of users, and targeted for specific purposes (Power BI)

Developing current data and information storage systems (SharePoint & OneDrive) with understanding of:

Permissions
Site pages/designs
List and libraries
Classic and modern site architecture and features
Use of SharePoint/OneDrive as a trigger/data source for Power Apps and Power Automate
Influencing and supporting colleagues in adopting new process as well as some supervision of tasks for Office 365 Development OfficerSkills required:

Excellent IT skills, preferably including Microsoft 365 (particularly SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a high standard of English language
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Experience of relational database construction, completion, and management (including documentation and user guidance)
Experience of leading data focused projects, working with non-subject specialists
