Job Details

A Registered Mental Health Nurse is needed for a Private in-patient hospital accommodation service based in Hertfordshire!

£250 BONUS FOR APPLYING THROUGH OUR AGENCY!

Salary per annum: £38,000pa (negotiable based upon experience)

Hours and length of contract:
*Permanent Position
*FULL TIME HOURS
*4 shifts one week and 3 shifts the next week - rotation of days and nights (1h paid break)
o08:30-20:00
o20:00 - 08:30
*Service operates 24/7
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP.

Daily Duties:
The service is a hospital service with in-patient accommodation for people to receive care and treatment for a range of mental health issues. The service supports patients with a range of mental health disorders and specialises in personality disorder. The service also treats those with schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder and dual diagnosis.

Daily Duties include but are not limited to:
*Provide leadership to the care and nursing functions of The Hospital
*Be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in accordance with CPA guidelines
*Handle information with care, accuracy and sensitivity, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
*Enable and encourage patients to reach their best potential throughout their stay at whatever capacity this is required
*Deliver a caring and effective, patient focussed service, in keeping with the aims, objectives and standards of.
*To ensure sensitive and appropriate clinical care will be delivered to meet the patient's needs, respecting personal dignity and beliefs
*Assist and provide input into the formulation of policies & procedures
*Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues that may arise
*Support a work atmosphere which promotes a high quality of work life
*To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes, in consultation with the Nursing Director
*Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation, and induction of all new employees
*Administering prescribed medications in accordance with local and NMC guidelines
*Ensuring a whole care treatment package is applied to each patient, including their mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing
*When requested, to prepare for, participate in and attend ward rounds, CPA's and other multi-disciplinary meetings

Location:

Person specification:
