Tax Manager

Dear Tax Managers,

My client, a reputable regional Accountancy Firm based in Solihull is currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their busy but fast paced team. My client is a firm of chartered accountants who pride themselves on delivering an outstanding service whilst keeping in line with brand values.

Salary:

Salary up to £50,000 dependent of experienceDuties:

Management of staff within the tax team
Escalation point for tax team for any issues that arise
Resolving issues and ensuring that client's projects are delivered on time
Being the client's first point of call after the directors
Proactively seek out and understand the roles and remit of the senior tax managers
Delegate work to members of your team
Proactively seek out opportunities to provide client's with additional services and agree fees for ad-hoc work in advance
Prepare and review tax reports for client's
Monitor work in progress (WIP) on allocated jobs to ensure bills are issued in accordance with normal billing cycle
Ensure timely communication is maintained between the client, yourself and team members
Ensure relevant information is shared between departments and Directors as necessary
Proactively provide advice to client's
Build an excellent network of professional contacts and seek out ways to develop the firm
Ensure accuracy and high attention to detail
developing systems and in-house processes to improve the Firm's delivery of their services Skills/Experience required:

In depth Corporate/Business Tax and Personal Tax knowledge
Previous experience in a similar role
Experienced in Personal Tax with strong communication skills
Ability to manage, coach and lead a tax team.
Pro-active management skills, resulting in high performance teams.
Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels
Knowledge of Tax return production software and their uses and benefits.
Solid MS Office products knowledge
Essential: ATT, CTA or equivalent tax qualification, Degree or equivalent
