A well-known estate on the outskirts of Malton is currently recruiting for a part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideally, you will work across 3 days of your choice.
The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for providing a professional and timely service in processing supplier invoices and statements to ensure internal accounting information is accurate whilst maintaining strong relations with suppliers.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, key duties and responsibilities will include:

Process purchase invoices correctly accounting for VAT and ensuring proper authorisation, coding and narrative.
Process outgoing payment of invoices.
Provide regular reconciliation of supplier statements and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers.
Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries as required.
Ensure good internal controls with respect to the purchase ledger function.
Maintain excellent records including the prompt filing of supplier invoices.
Liaise with suppliers with concerning invoice queries.
Ensure adherence to end of month deadlines.
Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Finance Manager.We are keen to speak with individuals who have previous experience in a purchase ledger, accounts assistant or account administrator position and who are comfortable with high volume invoice processing. You will be joining a small and friendly finance team at a prestigious business.

This role is commutable from York, Malton, Helmsley, Easingwold and surrounding areas.
