Job Details

Project Manufacturing Engineer required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering & manufacturing business.

Have you got experience of relocating and implementing new production lines along with the development and improvement of processes and systems? If you are seeking an exciting technical challenge then this is the contract role for you!

You will play a key role in plans, designs, purchases, and implementing integrated manufacturing assembly or fabrication processes in our clients manufacturing plant.

Key responsibilities:

Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the company standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to the company.
Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.Experience required:

Proven experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Equipment / Capital Procurement - Understanding the requirements for purchasing tools and equipment and production equipment specifications.
Significant experience in purchasing tools and equipment.
Fundamentals Of Controls Engineering - Knowledge of various hardware and software used in the control of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Understands the interface of the shop floor control system to the Manufacturing Execution System Fundamentals Of Industrial Engineering - Concerned with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.
Conduct a work measurement study and balance a production line using the data from a work measurement study.
Robust knowledge of ergonomic principles and utilize my knowledge in projects.
Experience developing and creating process documentation.
Utilized material flow data to develop an efficient and effective facility layout.
Workstation Design - This skill involves being able to design an operator station.
Problem Solving And Quality Improvement - Problem Solving and Improvement approaches, including understanding of tools/process type and selection, plus Corrective and Preventive Action processes.
Able to train others in problem solving.
College, university, or equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical or scientific field would be beneficial.
