Client Details
Michael Page Logistics have been exclusively retained by a leading manufacturing distributor in their search for a Inventory & Stock Supervisor. Working for one of the faster growing businesses in the UK right now, this role will be responsible for their Alfreton distribution centre, leading a well skilled and highly capable stock management team in achieving operational excellence.
The newly created role is now a business critical position in successfully appointing during the Q2 period to help capitalise on their ambitious growth plans.
Description
The successful Inventory & Stock Supervisor will role into the Warehouse Operations Manager based in the Alfreton, Derbyshire area.
Direct line management of 4 x Inventory Team of co-ordinators, counters & administration staff.
Actively manage an inventory of between £8.3 and £9.3 million in value.
Accountable for inventory control across the entire Alfreton, Derbyshire Warehouse meeting all of the businesses operational requirements within Warehousing & Logistics.
Design and implement daily, weekly and monthly action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and service to support in delivering a world class operation.
To develop and deliver the inventory strategy, standardise and implement robust processes, and be responsible for ensuring all inventory policies and practices are adhered to and adopted throughout the organisation.
Ensure best practice within the sites inventory team; through the implementation of new ways of working, robust SOP's.
Develop routines and procedures that contribute to maintaining accurate stock files.
Conduct detailed audits of all inventory functions across the network.Profile
The successful candidate for the Inventory & Stock Supervisor role will have the following skills and experiences:
A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
Previous exposure to managing large scale inventory within Warehousing & Operations, ideally across a fast paced, complex product range.
A minimum of 3+ years inventory experience.
A minimum of 1+ years experience of people management.
A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel & WMS systems.
Commutable to the Alfreton, Derbyshire area.
