Abattoir Operative

Temporary to permanent opportunities are available with our prestigious butchery client for people who demonstrate the right attitude, skills and behaviours.

Staffline is recruiting for an Abattoir Operatives at our client's high welfare pork production site in Spalding.

The rate of pay is £9.00 per hour, with overtime available and paid at £11.25 per hour.

Typical shifts are 6.30am to 4pm.

You will be required to be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Your Time at Work

As an Abattoir Operative, you will work on a pork slaughter line and be responsible for preparing pigs for food production.

The work environment is cold to ensure the quality of the product and the role will involve lots of manual handling of animals and raw meat.

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Abattoir Operative will be comfortable working with raw meat and will be able to lift 12 - 25kg when required.

You will be required to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

The role will involve lots of repetitive activity.

You will also be required to follow and lead by example when it comes to health and safety and overall hygiene.

Previous experience within a similar environment is advantageous, although not essential, as full training will be provided OnSite.
