Maintenance Fitter

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter? Have you got experience working in a Heavy Engineering environment such as refractory or foundry? Then we might have the perfect opportunity for you! We are recruiting for a thriving company based within 2 miles of Pensnett Trading Estate who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter to the team on a temporary to permanent basis.

What will your day to day activities as a Refractory Operative/General Labourer include?  

The role, based in the Gornal/Brierley Hill/Dudley area, will require the successful candidate to respond to breakdowns and ensure that all aspects of maintenance are carried out. This role will ensure the smooth running of the production plant including maintaining and repairing; hydraulic presses, motors, packing machines, bearings and other mechanical equipment.

What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?

• Qualified fitter with mechanical experience.
• Experience and strong knowledge of Fabrication, Hydraulics, Welding & Pnuematics.
• Electrical knowledge and experience.
• Any PLC knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
• Experience working in a foundry/refractory or similar environment.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Happy to work rotating shifts and be flexible to overtime requirements.
• Happy working in a smaller team environment.
• Good work ethic, punctual and reliable.
