Marketing, Communications and Brand Manager based in Oswestry, Shropshire offering an annual salary of £32,500 - £35,000.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing, Communications and Brand Manager to lead our Marketing Team. You will continually develop and implement marketing, communications and brand strategy to maximise opportunities for the Derwen College Charity.

The key responsibilities of the Marketing, Communications and Brand Manager:

  • Create, implement and develop marketing and communication plans for key target audiences
  • Develop and implement digital content and output 
  • Support all areas across college with their marketing and communication output
  • Support the Head of Communications to act as Brand guardian ensuring the College’s corporate identity and brand values are promoted, embedded and used consistently
  • Develop and nurture appropriate media contacts and act as point of contact for press enquiries
  • Organise and manage events, e.g. Open Days, and projects to promote the College and raise its profile, e.g. skills competitions
  • Attend events offsite as appropriate, e.g. networking, talks, to promote the College
  • Analyse impact of campaigns and activity. Evaluate and report on analysis results, including to the Senior Leadership Team, and determine opportunities for improvement
  • Manage our business centre, maximising its impact as a showcase for the College, and overseeing staffing, room bookings, management of external events.
  • Line manage the Marketing team and front of house, to ensure they provide an efficient and effective service to the college/charity
  • Safeguarding awareness and promotion in all aspects of role of the welfare of adults at risk

The ideal Marketing, Communications and Brand Manager:

  • Recognised marketing or business qualification
  • Proven success in a similar role, including leading a team
  • Skills in: written and verbal communication; organisation and planning; creativity and IT
  • The ability to manage multiple projects
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be analytical: ability to assess and report on performance metrics, and use results to shape planning for future activity
  • Be tenacious and results driven, with sound business judgment
