Manpower are delighted to be working in partnership with an Global Manufacturing company who have a strong presence here in the North East to find their next team of Process Technicians
Working at their state-of-the-art facility in Ashington as a Process Technician you will be responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, fault rectification and continuous improvement of production equipment and processes to ensure production demands are met
As part of the Maintenance Team you will perform fault diagnosis and reactive maintenance task as well as proactive monitoring of machine performance trends to spot errors or anomalies and address them before they affect production, you will also be operating the Manufacturing Execution System, creating and maintaining isolation procedures and optimizing systems in the field in order to minimize waste in production,
You will be also be responsible for all instrument test equipment,
About Me
You will have a proven track record of working with in a manufacturing environment with hazardous materials and be able to demonstrate your knowledge of Functional Safety legislation and Safety Integrated Systems.
You will need to be able to draw upon your experience of implementing and sustaining continuous improvement manufacturing principles.
The qualifications and skills that you will need to succeed in this role
You will be apprentice trained or have undertaken formal Mechanical and Electrical training, you will have Compex certification and will be able to demonstrate your experience in the following areas
Hazardous area/ATEX
Interrogation of PLC/Batch control systems.
Machinery safety equipment and legislation.
HSE / quality compliance experience.
SAP maintenance systems experience.
Understanding and application of 5S in the workplace.
This is a dayshift role and the hours of work at 37.5 per week.
