Inside Sales - Basildon
Inside Sales Consultant required for a Global Shipping company based in Basildon. Perhaps you have some exposure to the shipping industry already, or you have sales experience in a different industry? Interested in a sales role without the cold calling? Do you have transferable sales experience and skills?
This role could also suit someone who can demonstrate the right attributes and looking for their first rung on the employment ladder.
Working for a global company that operate with 300+ offices within 150+ Countries, you will essentially be responsible for selling space within shipping containers, for that container to then be shipped around the world. This is NOT an outbound cold calling job - this is all about converting inbound enquiries from new and existing customers to bookings. Naturally there would be an expectation to up sell with these clients off the back of their inbound enquiry to maximise revenue.
Ideal scenario for this client would be to attract someone with some sales experience and also some shipping / logistics experience, however as previously stated the company is happy to consider candidates either with shipping /logistics experience but no sales, or vice versa - sales experience but no shipping / logistics knowledge. This role would be classed as a "junior" role in terms of expectations. With full training offered this is a role that it is likely to take circa 12mths to really understand the role (and duties). It should be in year two that you can really feel you have the knowledge to develop your experience and career. As a result of this, this role is only going to be of interest to those that are looking to develop a career.
Working as part of a small team, this is not a heavily targeted role - this is all about your conversation rates of the inbound enquiry`s.
Whilst personality and showing the right attributes are often used cliches, this is actually very true for this company.
You will naturally be expected to show a willingness to learn and show that you are interested in this job for the right reasons rather than "just" any job. Your willingness to help others and be a team player are also expected to be on point - and this plays a part in your potential yearly bonus!
Annual Salary:
£18,000 - £23,000 (based on suitable experience)
Discretionary annual bonus (normally paid during the Summer months)
20 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday (This increases in increments to 22 days Holiday after 5yrs service)
Auto Enrol Pension Scheme
Working Hours Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
