Are you a Technical Coordinator in the construction industry, looking for a new permanent opportunity?

I am looking for a Technical Coordinator who will be working within the piling division of a major civils subcontractor. They need someone who has got an understanding of the preconstruction stages of projects and who has been involved in PPQ packages before.

You will need to monitor the PQQ process, be able to upload and QA documentation, look at H&S documents to make sure the piling team is always informed. To be successful you will need to have worked within the construction industry, specifically civils background would be ideal.

This role is placed in Esher and is a permanent opportunity, so you will need to be able to commute to Esher daily. The salary range is between £25,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Access database management for tenders - set up new tenders and housekeeping
Compile and collate PQQ's for new piling tenders.
Undertake Tender analysis for bids submitted, value, nr, win ratio and compilation of monthly
dashboard
Set up new tenders on the server and on mail manager
Create and distributing contract award sheets from Access
Assist with the training of the proposals Engineers to ensure that they understand the
tendering database system
Upload and download electronic information from internet based project databases and lead
the completion of PQQ documents, working closely with other Keltbray divisions.
Assist with award submissions, FPS, GE, Construction news
Be a key point of reference and knowledge for the business in the use of KIPS and
INTELLEX.
Piling contributions, accident and incident management - assist the MD in chasing close outs
and reporting
Assist the Piling directors in identifying areas for business improvement, including the setting
of annual business unit targets and their quarterly review.
Ensure that the Keltbray capability document is regularly updated with the latest project
profiles and piling personnel CVs
Setting up new contracts on the S drive server, KIPS and mail manager
Attend monthly piling safety, quality, supervisors and PM meetings and take and distribute
minutes
Project pre-start checklist awareness and management for new projects
Ensure all QA documentation is compliant on the BMS and document register is kept up to
date
Undertake data entry into project databases and keep abreast of any changes
Record and collate the weekly total hours worked across the piling business and report to the
HSQE department on a monthly basis

The ideal candidate will have:

PQQ experience
Civils, Rail or Construction experience
Have strong communication skills in person and also remotely
Understand Bids background and have worked in a preconstruction team before
Advanced Excel skills including the ability to present Data Visually, Add Advanced Functions, Insert Illustrations, Sort and Filter Data, Insert PivotTables and PivotCharts, Manage Worksheets and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) & Macros.
Proven history of creating excel trackers
Have strong attention to detail
CSCS Card would be ideal not essential
