Clothing & Equipment Officer - Winfrith, Dorset

A busy 6 month contract has become available for an organised and efficient administrator, to join a prestigious public sector organisation. Ideally applicants will have some stores (or similar) experience, and be used to monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as required.

The main purpose of the role is to provide services in support of uniforms and issue equipment to officers and staff.

This will include:

Receipt and onward distribution of uniform and body armour
Undertake measuring of staff and arrange fitting days for large numbers of staff, book room for fittings and undertake safekeeping of sizing kits in Force.
Attend the Clothing and Equipment user group
Ensure any new items of equipment are photographed and put on the website.
Send weekly report to the External Supplier in relation to Officers that have changed location. Key requirements:

Experience of working in a stores environment, or similar environment involving provision of clothing / equipment to a medium / large organisation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to customer service

Demonstrable good administrative skills together with evidence of a previous record of high standards of accuracy in a financial environment

Ability to organise own time and to plan and carry out activities in an orderly and structure way
Must be able to evidence an ability to prioritise and organise own workloads, and ensure deadlines are met
Able to evidence good computer skills, and experience in using software packages including spreadsheets and word processing

High level of integrity - able to evidence previous position/s of trust and responsibility

This role is based at the Dorset Police HQ, Winfrith - as such applicants should have access to the their own transport as public transport is limited.

Candidates will be subject to stringent vetting and referencing procedures prior to commencing work.
