Council Tax Operational Manager

I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6-12 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of between £35.00 - £45.00 which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Council Tax & Business Rates Operational Manager this role will be based at: E14 2BG

The right candidate will:

You will be working as an Operational Manager within Tower Hamlets Council, your role will include;

* Supervising the income operational and verification team of Council tax, NNDR and other income

* This will include; Council tax, Business Rates, Sundry Debtors, Parking, Overpaid Benefits and other council income

* Maximise the revenue and income the council receives from all areas of income

* Minimise losses of income due to tax avoidance schemes and fraudulent activity

* Responsible for the development of policy and strategy on all matters relating to income

* To plan, implement and monitor workloads for the team in a way that maximises the use of resources and ensures that processes are efficient

* Responsible for; x2 Income team leaders, x1 Valuation Team leader and x1 Verification team leader

The Right candidate will have the following:

* Experience of working as an operational manager

* Experience of managing team leaders

* Experience of working within a local authority is desirable
