Accounts Assistant

A diverse business based on the outskirts of Scarborough is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team.

You will be joining a family run business that operates within various areas such as property, leisure, and agriculture. The successful Accounts Assistant will be involved in all aspects of the business, supporting the Financial Controller and the wider finance team.

As Accounts Assistant, key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of weekly banking
Petty cash management
Daily recording of direct bank transactions
Purchase ledger management
Raising sales invoices on requestTo be considered for this varied Accounts Assistant role, you will need the following experience:

Previous experience in an accounting role, familiar with both sales and purchase ledger
Excellent attention to detail
A good communicator who is able to build relationships with internal and external contacts
Experience using Sage and/or Farmplan would be advantageous
