We are currently recruiting for an Assessing Social Worker to work in Lewisham, South East London. The role is to be base in the Fostering team.

The vacancy is to work Full Time hours and to start ASAP!

The post is initially for 5 months but may be extended.

Requirements -
*A degree or Masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*SW England Registration
*Experience as a Social in a Fostering/Assessment team

About the role
*You will be responsible for the assessment of mainstream and supported lodgings providers.
*This will involve carrying out full assessments of an applicant's suitability to foster so strong assessment skills/ experience are essential.
*Through the recruitment and assessment of foster carers and supported lodgings providers, you will play an important role in meeting the department's objectives; achieving greater placement choice and a higher proportion of children being cared for by Lewisham's approved foster carers or moving onto independence.
