Service Charge Accountant / Team Leader - Surrey

Are you an experienced Service Charge Accountant with strong leadership skills seeking a new challenge with a leading brand employer?

Our leading Property Management client is seeking a driven, ambitious and suitably qualified Team Leader on a permanent basis to work within the Service Charge Accounting function. Working in a highly successful and structured department, you will play a key role by overseeing a team of Service Charge Accountants whilst directly managing key client accounts.

This role would suit either an experienced Service charge Team Leader seeking a new challenge with a leading employer offering further development and progression or equally an experienced Service Charge Accountant with leaderships attributed seeking the next step up.

Duties include (but not limited to):

Overseeing a team of Accountants and assisting in managing accounts for service charges in accordance with the RICS Code of Practice and ARMA
accounting regulations.
Providing advice, support and where needed accompanying Property Management professionals with client accounts
Oversee complex and routine accounting queries with internal Property Management teams and external accounting practices
Year end accounting including preparations and submission to auditors and independent accountancy firms
Ownership of all allocated year end balancing for clients
Contribution to all relevant accounts relating to Section 20b notices
Complete and cascade all allocated year end accounts to all relevant clients and support the wider team with ensuring client deadlines are exceeded
Ensure
Assist with income generation added value services offered to clients
Client Reporting for allocated clients and overseeing team members to ensure quality and efficiency Experience Required:

Proven experience working within a private Leasehold residential accounting function
Proven leadership and team management experience
Professional, career minded and focused on service delivery
Suitably educated and qualified with proven PQE within Leasehold Property management
