Job Details

Logistics Administrator required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering & manufacturing business.

Do you have a background working in a fast paced logistics / customer support role? Have you got experience of working in a freight forwarding/transportation environment? If you are seeking an exciting challenge then this is the contract role for you!

You will play a key role in providing front line logistics support. To be successful in this role you must have good organizational skills, able to prioritize, strong knowledge of both MS Excel and MS Word and most importantly strong communication skills!

Key responsibilities:

Outbound Transportation Tasks (including but not limited to)
Create and maintain an outbound schedule
Create a shipment booking as per the planned ship time and date
Creation of compliant shipping documentation/shipping reference numbers and communication to Carriers
Manage shipment exceptions
Update customer Portals
Exception management, insurance claims,
LOC PresentationExperience required:

Experience in Excel, Outlook. Oracle experience is an advantage
Attention to detail
Time management skills and ability to work under pressure
Problem solving Ability
Common approach to Continuous Improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Relationship building Skills
Collaboration / Co-operation
Analytical abilities and experience in reviewing data is required
*Experience of freight forwarding/transportation would be advantageous
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel
Previous use of WMS would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
