Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver / Stores Person to join their growing team in Telford starting on January 4th 2021

The role of a Stores Person is to monitor and control the flow of goods into and out of warehouses and the manufacturing areas.

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

Previous experience in a similar role
MUST Hold a certificate for Counter Balance and/or Bendi / Pivot Steer FLT Licence (Refreshed in last 3 years)
To be physically fit and able to lift heavy packages
To have good organisational skills
To enjoy practical and manual work
The ability to keep detailed and accurate records
Have a good eye for detail
To be able to work as part of a team

Duties Included:

Checking goods on arrival and before despatch, ensuring they have the right products, in the correct quantity and that there is no damage.

To record when goods arrive and their exact location in the warehouse, safely put away stock into the designated area.

To check records to retrieve goods from storage, ensuring that the oldest products are the first to be shipped out.

Receiving of Goods In, organising of components, kitting parts for despatch and distribution of components to shop floor areas.

Driving Bendi / Pivot Steer Fork Lift Fork Lift Truck in and around the Warehouse and Manufacturing areas adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 4.35pm Friday 8.00am - 1pm.

This is position is temporary on-going, leading to permanent after a successful probationary period for the right person.

In return you will be paid a salary of £9.02 per hour
