Our client is looking for an Associate Relations Specialist, someone who can take a stand-alone approach to HR advisory work. Who has specialist knowledge of employee relations topics rather than generalist HR experience. Someone who can work remotely, builds good relationships, is resilient and is able to work well in a team.

Overview

The Associate Relations Specialist will operate cross segment within a sub region of a country. They will support Line Managers and P&O colleagues with the deployment of AR processes including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and involuntary separation. Responsibilities include building trust, credibility and collaborative relationships with line managers and wider P&O team. Mitigate risk and minimise adverse impact to the organisation through proper application of policies, practices and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Resolve issues and address client needs to ensure situations are resolved fairly, objectively, consistently and in a manner that aligns with our Five Principles and the Associate Concept.

Key Responsibilities

Support Line Managers in the deployment of AR processes across the UK and Ireland Associate population
Manages Associate Relations programs and initiatives
Design and support the deployment of Associate Relations policies, procedures and guidelines
Partner with BPs and Line Managers to implement integrated Associate Relations products and services
Shape and distribute CoE designed communications
Coach and advise P&O Business Partners and line managers and associates.
Make recommendations regarding improvement to policies, practices and procedures focused on ensuring legal compliance, best practice awareness, consistency, effectiveness and capability.
Deliver capability building programs for line managers and P&O Business Partners.
Partner with legal counsel to represent the business in legal and governmental proceedings.
Identify associate relations trends in area of responsibility and partner with Country Manager AR on appropriate actions.Education & Professional Qualification

Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in in Human Resources, Labour/Industrial Relations, Legal
Preferred qualification: Combination of education and experience preferredKnowledge/Experience

Significant experience working in Human Resources/Labor Relations
Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals across all levels of the organisation
Knowledge in applicable employment and labour relations regulations
Ability to rapidly mobilise and manage internal and external resources to mitigate risks to the Mars business and reputation
Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong conflict management skills
Ability to work independently and own discrete areas of responsibility
Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and working effectively with manager while managing competing projects and/or demanding clientsTravel Requirements

Around 30% of the time will be spent travelling once current Covid restrictions are lifted.
