Junior Estimator

£33,800 - £41,600 (Paid as a day rate) + Company Van + Training
Unique opportunity for a Civils Operative/Foreman looking to move into Estimating to join a thriving contractor where you will receive lots of training to become a fully fledged Estimator with the opportunity to progress your career longer term.
This company are a specialist groundworks contractor carrying out utilities works for a range of customers. They are currently going from strength to strength and have been totally unaffected by the COVID pandemic. As a result of taking on several new clients and contracts, they are looking for an Estimator to join their team.
In this role your time will be split between being on site meeting with clients to discuss their requirements and office based where you will be producing quotes and documents to be sent to the customer. You will receive full training on the job to become an industry expert and for the right candidate, there are opportunities to progress your career into management.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Streetworks/Highways/Utility sector who is looking to start a career in Estimating.
The Role:
* Junior Estimator - Groundworks contracting company
* Time split between office/site based
* Meeting with clients, discussing their requirements
* Producing quotes, documents to be sent for approval
* Full Training provided to become a fully fledged Estimator
* Opportunities to progress your career
The person:
* Must have experience working in the Streetworks/Highways/Utility sector
* Must be looking to start a career in Estimating
* Must be customer facing
* Must have good organisational skills
* Must be based in Cornwall
