Manpower are pleased to be working with a fantastic road haulage provider who are looking for a new Transport Manager for one of their sites in Northampton.
This is a high responsibility position that will play a key part in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction, outstanding service as well as developing your own strong team.
Responsibilities
The ability to plan, monitor and distribute your transport team
Discover, negotiate and offer outstanding solutions
To improve on existing quality, thrive for better standards of service
Commercial understand of cost control and managing your own pool of drivers
To attend both virtual and face to face on site customer visits
Aiding the delivery of Key KPI's for existing contract.
Being the point of escalation for customer queries and concerns.
Training and developing your own transport team to best suit the customer
The successful candidate needs to have:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Positive, growth mindset
Interpersonal skills and management experience
Strong communication skills both written & verbal
Natural problem Solver
An eye for detail, being able to notice things that others might look past
Strong knowledge of up to date compliance procedures
Advantageous
Experience of effectively running a successful contract in a high-pressure environment
National CPC
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week on average.
Salary Package: Circa £30,000 / £35,000 however this can be made negotiable with proven experience and an ability to deliver
