As the Care Home Service Manager you have responsibility for managing multi-site teams within a care Supported Living setting and being responsible for ensuring that all the homes under your jurisdiction operate effectively and ensuring delivery of the very best quality care.

Key Features of the Role:

* Ensure the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.

* Direct staff management and ensuring the smooth running of the multi-site care operation

* Take on accountability for the home - ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.

* Ensure the safeguarding of service users and delivering optimum levels of care and support.

* Manage the financial effectiveness of the home - maintain the budget of the home and seek to identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce cost.

* Take on an active leadership role - you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business.

* Work with the operational support team to organise rota’s and ensure effective fulfilment of shifts.

* Developing your people - you will have the opportunity to build your team, supported by a centralised recruitment and training team, who will be recruiting and developing the right people for you to grow your business and through supporting their career development.

* Facilities & Property management in conjunction with Health & safety teams and ensuring the smooth and safe running of your responsible sites.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Experience of working in a care management role within Supported Living/Residential Care.

- Highly driven, self-motivated and able to multi-task

- Managing teams/people and the ability to delegate tasks and performance manage/coach/mentor staff;

- You must hold a Registered Managers Award - NVQ level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and have or be willing to work towards the Leadership and Management Award.

- Flexible and agile approach to work, with the ability to lead from the frontline

- The nature of the job responsibilities may require flexible hours, including some weekend hours, or adjusted beginning and ending times.

- Well versed with CQC guidelines and a proven track record of delivering positive CQC ratings in previous roles.

- Well organised and able to inspire confidence and trust in others.

- Must be a car driver and car owner.
