This is a an excellent opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join an ever growing supplier based in Nottingham whose fleet consists of 10 HGV vehicles.
Overview:
You will need to have excellent people management skills, capable of communicating effectively to the team, and work closely with warehouse team to ensure loads are made in plenty of time to meet tight deadlines.
The Role:
The Transport Coordinator will have experience in the following responsibilities:
Maintenance and management of the transport management system
Ensuring effective and efficient use of drivers and vehicle resources
Carry out investigations in relation to any vehicle incidents
People management, including, Absence, performance, recruitment, etc
Driver De-briefs
Planning and scheduling the fleet
Knowledge & experience in managing driver's hours, tachographs and WTD legislation
Support and cover other Warehouse Shift Managers in their absence
Key holder duties including out of ours call out is requiredAttributes:
This is a fast paced, demanding environment and requires applicants with strong communication and management skills alongside:
Excellent written and verbal skills essential
National Management CPC desirable but not essential
Experience and knowledge in route planning software
Max Optra system knowledge and experience- Desirable
Experience in FMCG/Food Distribution
Experience and up to date knowledge of VOSA regulations and requirements
Communicates openly, motivates and inspires, creates a positive work environment
Excellent customer service skills
