Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Salary: £22.56 P/H PAYE

Location: Darlington

Are you out of work or been made redundant recently and looking for your next role? I am looking to speak with experienced Senior Quality Engineers to support our client with a new product of a major automotive truck customer. This would be a 6 month contract that has the potential to be extended or made permanent.

Key Responsibilities :

Advanced Product Quality Planning
Lead the technical quality planning and ensures customer satisfaction through structured and measurable processes as defined by AIAG industry standards
Dimensional Metrology - supporting design validation and conformity assessment meeting regulatory, customer and product requirements
Regular inspection checks of incoming and outgoing components.

Other Responsibilities:

Project Issue and Risk Management
Managing the process and assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events
Making sure products and process development meet the high quality standards
responsible for applicable systems related to plant customer issues such as.- Corrective action requests

- Supplier corrective action requests

- Non conforming material reports

Experience :

MUST have 3 to 5 years of experience within a Quality role responsible for delivering APQP to Automotive customer
MUST have previous experience in GD&T knowledge

MUST have knowledge of AIAG (automotive industry action group)
MUST have good interpersonal skills and be goal oriented

Desirable

Knowledge of CMM or 3D scan measurement technology
HNC/HND or degree in a technical discipline
Robot and manual welding experience
