We are currently looking to recruit a Manager for a Specialist Home for Children with Learning Disabilities in East Kent.

Ideally you will have previous managerial experience managing a home for children with learning disabilities and / or a nursing qualification within this field.

My client is looking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to head up this new home, with a passion for looked after children and learning disabilities.

It is essential that you at least 3 years experience within the last 5 years of working at a managerial / deputy managerial level within a residential care setting for children. You must also hold the management qualification or be working towards it. It is also essential that you have a detailed working knowledge of the quality standards for childrens homes.

As the Manager of the new 4 bedded Specialist Childrens Home you will be registered with Ofsted.

You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible outcomes are achieved for the children and young people. Ensure that high standards of personalised care are maintained in accordance with Ofsted regulations. Be overall responsible for staff management and professional development and have a key involvement in referrals and placements. To work within an agreed budget, maximising income and managing costs.
