Shift Electrician

SHIFT ELECTRICIAN

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Shift Electrician to join our Site Services team based in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out site electrical and maintenance duties, mainly at our Lea Mills, Matlock site but also, on occasions, at our Armthorpe, Doncaster site
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in an industrial and commercial environment, including fault-finding, rewiring and monitoring.
• Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing on industrial and commercial systems Adhering to regulatory and company procedures relating to electrical work
• Ability to work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.
• Supporting the Site Services team in day to day maintenance duties
• Shift work (6am – 2pm and 2pm to 10pm) for which a Shift Allowance will be payable for unsocial hours (before 7am and after 7pm)
• Working to RAMS
• Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Housekeeping

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Experience of working as a Site Electrician on either single or multi-sites
• Textile/manufacturing industry knowledge/experience an advantage but not essential
• Self-motivated with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Relevant certification and qualification for Electrician
• Ability to use Excel and other Microsoft related products an advantage

• Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work as a team and have a flexible approach to their work.
• A multi-skill approach to the position would be beneficial
