Child Support Worker job, Eastbourne
Your new company
You'll be working in a SEN residential children's settings where you will be responsible for looking after the children in the residential home. The residential home can accommodate up to 8 children at one time and you will have other members of staff there to help you.
Your new role
You will be working as a care worker to help assist these children, the children suffer with learning difficulties, EBD (emotional and behavioural disorders) and other complex issues. The children are aged between 6-18. You will have to engage and entertain these children throughout your time with the company, this can be achieved a number of ways including going on days out: swimming, cycling, hiking, shopping and many more. You will be responsible for creating a positive environment for this children.
What you'll need to succeed
You will require previous experience working with children in this type of setting, ideally you'll be able to drive but not necessarily required. Ideally you'd also have an NVQ Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or working with Children/Childcare.
