Belmont Recruitment currently have an exciting opportunity available for a highly experienced Executive Support Officer to join West Lancashire Borough Council’s Corporate Services Department. This is initially a 3 month temporary assignment, working 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

As an Executive Support Officer, you will be required to provide professional, flexible and resilient business support service to Directors and Heads of Service within the Council, supporting service delivery, process improvements and change.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Dealing with the Senior Management Team’s correspondence, reports, mail, diaries and appointments

* Administering a range of management information systems, including correspondence, data protection, training development records and complaints

* Liaising and consulting with Senior Managers to ensure service related queries / issues are dealt with

* Acting as first point of contact in relation to queries from Elected Members, Directors and Senior Officers

* Responding to telephone, written and electronically delivered queries, ensuring the appropriate information is provided

* Organising and coordinating internal and external meetings, including booking facilities, refreshments and hospitality

Requirements:

* Previous experience of working as a Personal Assistant, Executive etc or Executive Support Officer

* Excellent IT skills, including ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook

* Ability to prioritise own workload and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

* Enthusiastic and positive attitude
