Page Personnel are currently recruiting a Credit Control manager for a growing legal company based in the heart of Leeds city centre managing the full billing and credit control function including overseeing a team of 3 billing administrators.
Description
You will be responsible for:
The fee collection and Billing process
Day to day management of the team responsible for Billing coordinating workloads and activities
Timely billing by ensuring deadlines are adhered to
Review and update billing processes to ensure they are effective and efficient
Managing the relationship with outsourced Fee collection Agency (FMC), agreeing processes and managing performance against set targets
Reviewing and improving processes for dealing with escalated debt
Implementing risk management activities to reduce the potential for bad debt
Preparing reports for at risk fees for attention of Senior Management and agree action plan on chasing
Advising internal senior members of debt collection processes
Advising senior members on debt management principles and initiatives to reduce risk and debt levels
Institute legal action where required and monitor effectiveness
Active management of debt for clients that go into Administration
Monitoring and reporting debt levels, developing action plans as needed
Reducing debtor days for private debt to 30 days where applicable
Ownership of the fee chasing cycles within the Case Management system, including automated reminders and lettersProfile
To be successful you will have previous experience in a similar role ideally with experience in legal sector. You will be a confident communicator with internal stakeholders including partners and clients of the firm. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and support the team.
