Our client currently have a vacancy for a Transport manager to oversee the maintenance and compliance of the fleet and drivers. With a mixed fleet of over 30 vehicles including rigid beavertails, Low loaders, Hiab lorries and road sweepers, this will be a good role for someone with a background within the Plant industry.

Responsibilities-

* overseeing maintenance of all fleet vehicles and trailers

*controlling inspection regime and MOT bookings

* collate information from driver cards and vehicle tacho units and report

* work towards accreditations such as FORS (currently silver)

*ensuring all drivers licence checks and fitness to work

*ensure all vehicles are taxed

Requirements-

* must have transport manager cpc- ideally international

* must have good communication skills

*must have proven transport manager experience

*must have experience with accreditations such as FORS

*must be computer literate and be able to use software systems

*must be flexible with hours to fulfil the role

Desirables-

*experience with plant lorries, including road sweepers

*experience with Hiab crane lorries

*class 1 HGV licence
