DAYS BASED ROLE. MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Engineering Coordinator or Maintenance Coordinator required for a food manufacturer in a current phase of growth. The company are in an exciting phase whereby they are in the process of building a purpose built, state of the art facility and the role would suit driven, motivated individuals who like an active role in the success of a company.

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated to succeed and have ambition to move in to engineering leadership/management in the foreseeable future. Currently, you will either be working within a maintenance/engineering leadership role or, you will be a multi skilled maintenance engineer with demonstrable leadership qualities. You will need a relevant qualification within engineering and 5-10+ years' experience working in a hands on maintenance/repair role, within FMCG or ideally, food manufacturing.

Reporting to the site manager, and having direct reports of 2 shift maintenance engineers, you will be responsible for the day to day running/management of the engineering function. You will be responsible for prioritising and distributing maintenance activities for the day while remaining hands on and supporting the shift engineers in completing tasks. You will be on the lookout for potential improvements across the function and will be responsible for bringing those ideas to life.

Relevant experience as: Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader, Lead / Senior Engineer, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or alike titles will be strongly encouraged to apply.

The Role:

Supervising / Leading a team of 3 within engineering

Working in a hands on capacity

Identifying / implanting process or machinery improvements

Monday to Friday Days

Circa £40,000 + Benefits

The Person:

Apprenticeship Trained / Relevant Qualification

Experience maintenance engineer

Understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing or alike initiatives (beneficial)

Leadership experience or demonstrable qualities in order to become a leader

Aspirations to further develop in to an engineering manager
