Client Details
Our client is a reputable, well established business in Eastbourne who are looking for a experienced, and ambitious Management Accountant to join the business.
Description
Advise the Finance and IT Director on all aspects of day to day management accounting
matters that are required to keep him/her fully informed.
Along with the Financial Accountant, prepare commentary for the Monthly Management
Accounts for the Hospice and its Subsidiary Trading Company to first level review by Finance
and IT Director. Provide first level detailed variance analysis.
Prepare monthly reports for all budget holders and Directors and meet monthly with budget
holders to ensure reports understood. Continually adapt reports to suit users needs.
Prepare monthly cash flows for the CEO. Prepare annual cashflows for the statutory
Accounts
Assist the payroll team and the Financial Accountant in the monthly payroll process.
Understand movements and assist Leadership team in detailed calculations for SAP Board
and Grant Applications.
Work with the Trusts Administrator on Trust applications, including detailed calculations for
salaries and other costings. Prepare monthly schedule for leadership team on
Grants/Restricted funds received and spend to date. Prepare annual analysis for Statutory
accounts.
Support the Finance and IT Director with the annual budgeting process in consultation
with departmental heads and the Leadership Team. Prepare Budget templates for all
departments. Prepare annual overview and outlook for three years with detailed analysis
for the Board of Trustees sign-off.
Support the Finance and IT Director with the quarterly forecasting process in consultation
with departmental heads and the Leadership Team.
Work with Directors on Business cases and provide Business Analytics as required to support
new developments.
Build a Business Partnering process with the Trading Team, to include building annual
budgets, quarterly forecasts, detailed analysis of Monthly Management Accounts and
supporting new income generation initiatives.
Support the Finance and IT Director in maintaining an integrated financial accounts system,
to ensure that it is kept up to date and is being operated correctly. Support new software
developments.
Support the Finance and IT Director with the COVID-19 recovery workstreams, primarily
focusing on processes and the paperless office.
Collate information and records to assist the auditors to prepare the annual statutory
accounts.
Contribute to improvements in financial systems and procedures as identified to promote
best practice.
Keep abreast of financial developments across the charity sector.
Profile
Currently studying ACCA/CIMA/AAT
Extensive MA experience
Advanced Excel skills
