Due to our ongoing natural growth and expansion we now have vacancies for permanent Auto Locksmiths to join our team.

The Role:

We operate a 7 day a week operation so the successful candidate will be expected to work on a rota covering Monday to Sunday, working 5 days a week. There is also an expectation for some on call duties which will included evening and night call outs.

The role is regional to cover Coventry/Birmingham/Leicester areas.

We are ideally looking for someone with auto locksmith experience, however we also welcome interest from applicants with general locksmithing experience.

As we look to grow our business, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and work ethic, therefore full training will be given to the right candidate.

Duties Include:

• Opening vehicles and changing locks, including the repair and replacement of faulty locks and locking mechanisms
• Making vehicle keys ( Spare and All Keys Lost)
• Our reputation is extremely important – so high attention to detail and arriving on site at the time specified is really key to us and our customers
• Ensuring you have the right tools and parts available for the job you are about to attend
• Ability to maintain a high percentage of jobs completed in one visit along with customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed to the highest standard and within tight deadlines and to update both the customers and the control centre accordingly.
• Be clean and presentable at all times
• Maintain full vehicle stock inventory with correct stock levels

What you need to be successful:

• The right candidate must have a good knowledge of the different motor manufacturers and models.
• Ideally you will have experience using key programming diagnostic equipment such as the AD100 pro/Smart Pro, AVDI, Autel, VVDI2 VVDI MB, Zedful, and other diagnostic tools/ Scan Tools including ODIS VAG Com and generic pin code reading software.
• Being proficient in Instacode and/or Silca Key Program Advantageous
• You will need the ability to remove & refit all different types of vehicles locks including all associated trim panels.
• You will need good lock picking and lock manipulation techniques including use of Lishi/Mr Li picks and decoders and Tibbie picks is required.
• You will need to have good transponder knowledge, and the understanding of the different types along with their correct application.
• You will have experience of EEPROM reading, to establish either pin codes or transponder information, using Orange5, Smok, VVDi prog, Tango, Miraclone, VVDI prog etc
• You will need knowledge of making keys to 2 track, 4 track laser key locks and standard wafer, pin and Tibbie locks
• Experience of rekeying existing locksets onto a different key number would be advantageous.
• An understanding of car electrical systems would also be advantageous.
• Geographically knowledge of the UK is important as are having basic IT skills
• A full, driving licence is required.
