Senior Carer

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our established client for a Senior Carer in the Market Harborough area. Our client is a specialist service providing Dementia care. The service is a beautiful 38-bed residential setting with a rating of 'GOOD' across all areas on their most recent CQC inspection.

Both part-time and full-time applications will be considered.

Contract: Permanent | 2-4 shifts per week

Shifts: 12 hours (Nights)

Job Purpose - Senior Carer

The post holder will be part of a small team and work closely with nurses to help patients to live independent and fulfilling lives. Key responsibilities will include:

*To provide patients with support to enable them to live a fulfilling life
*To observe and communicate effectively with patients, families and other professionals
*To be involved in support with therapy groups and activities
*To provide personal care and support
*Supervising the Care Team in the absence of the manager

Essential
*The ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Previous experience within a Dementia setting
*Previous experience at Senior level

Desirable
*Previous experience within a Mental Health capacity
*NVQ Level 2
