BSL 3 STUDENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT 1:1
Term Time Only
You will have BSL Level 3 (minimum requirement)
Full Time - 40 hours per week

Training opportunities
This is an excellent opportunity to support a bright and enthusiastic young student, using BSL and acting as an interpreter within a small class, with a team of support assistants. You can make a real and positive impact by enabling our student to learn, promote their independence and help them to achieve by having a "total communication" approach with the support of the speech and language team. You will have a flexible approach to meeting the individual needs of each child and have a genuine enthusiasm and commitment for working with hearing impaired children and young people.
The school is a Kent residential and day Special School for students from age 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning difficulties. Therefore, you must have a good knowledge of what responsibility this role may include and/or direct or indirect experience supporting SEND pupils.
Required/ Insight:
You will have BSL Level 3 (minimum requirement)
Right to work in the UK
Able to provide two references of your most recent employment
Able to commit to at least 4 days per week
This role will also involve personal care
Experience of complex physical and medical needs is desirable
