JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

The Assignment Manager is responsible for the overall performance and deployment of the security team and the Customer service levels based at Bromley JCP. The Assignment Manager is responsible for the delivery of all site based security functions. Guidance, mentoring and training of all working at site. Key Interface with the site based customer contact

Individuals must be IT literate in the use of mobile technology and desktop application and have excellent customer service skills.

Individuals will be responsible for ensuring that all issues are escalated to senior management and the client.

Flexibility will be required to assist with wider operation duties such as out of hours call outs and out of hours audit checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Directing and implementing the daily activities of security personnel on site.

The delivery of security services at site

Interface with the site based customer contact on a daily basis to ensure excellent working relationships. Attending meetings as required.

Implementation of G4S and DWP policies and procedures, ensuring there are no events of non-compliance.

Ensure that all site security equipment is functioning to the correct levels, and report faults as and when they occur

Guidance, mentoring and training of all staff

Assisting the deployment team to ensure all security officers, including site relief, are allocated to the correct work schedule.

Ensure officer welfare is managed at all times

Manage site officer leave requests

Deliver site training as required

Complete new starter Inductions

Manage security inspections

Maintain standards of appearance and performance

Conduct annual personnel evaluations and identify training needs.

Investigate and rectify site security service failures

Complete stage 1 HR interviews including, formal investigation, and grievance

Liaise with the deployment team to ensure that all adhoc work order requests are suitably covered

Coordinate ID production and manage local access control systems

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Previous experience of working within the Security industry

Previous experience of leading a team

Confident communicator with a high level of experience in a front of house customer focused role

Demonstrable experience of delivering security within a public sector environment

Knowledge of Security systems use including Fire, IDS, Access Control

Be able to demonstrate basic computer use, including the use of scheduling systems, Microsoft Office, Google tools.

Be able to produce written reports of a high standard

Be able to produce and complete formal risk assessments and in depth assignment instructions.

Be able to work as part of a team and individually

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

All information is reported as per required standards

Ensure all officers book on and off as required

All issues are escalated as per reporting requirements

Nil data breaches

No officer performance customer complaints

Reduction in Alarm activations system faults

is managed and RTWs are completed for all periods of sickness absence.

Care Reports are conducted with officers each month (to include relief).

Officer appraisals completed on annual cycle

All officers are trained as per the training plan
