A market-leading Engineering business, based on the outskirts of Scarborough, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.
The Assistant Accountant will support the Financial Controller in a 'hands-on' financial and transactional finance role. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT qualified individual to expand their technical and analytical skills and gain experience across month-end, analysis and reporting.
Key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant will include:
Daily reporting of cash book position
Assisting in the purchase ledger process
Assisting in weekly and monthly cash forecasting
Posting of factory timesheet hours
Payroll administration
Processing expenses
Assisting in balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting in weekly and monthly management accountsWe are keen to speak with candidates who have completed their AAT qualification, or are currently studying towards and have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
