Service Care Solutions are current recruiting on behalf of Liverpool City Council for a Specialist Support Teacher in the Special Educational Needs Inclusion Support Service. This is a part time position working 2 days a week (these days are flexible) and the base location will be in Speke.
This role is initially for 6 months to be reviewed for extension following this time.
This is a great role for somebody looking to support a well-established local authority, raising the achievements and attainment of pupils with SEND and helping schools and setting to support children and young people holistically.
The pay rate for this role is £31 per hour.
Key features include but are not limited to:
-To work in an early years setting, teaching, assessing, advising and training.
-To promote inclusive principles for Liverpool children and young people.
-To work, on behalf of the Local Authority, supporting pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plans in Mainstream schools.
-To advise and work with SENDCos, class teachers and Learning Support Assistants on various aspects associated with SEND and the Code of Practice.
The ideal candidate should:
-Have a proven ability to effectively raise the attainments and achievements of pupils with SEND.
-Be willing to tech across all key stages including EYFS, primary and secondary.
-Be able to work without direct supervision.
Essential criteria include:
-A recognised teaching qualification
-Enhanced DBS disclosure
