Revit/AutoCAD Technician
Our client, who are a small Architectural department, responsible for the design, renovation and build of new care homes are looking for a CAD Technician to join the team. I am looking for CAD / Revit Technicians to work in the Design department to create detailed Technical CAD designs and drawings (in Revit) during the design and renovation phases of multi-million pound residential property projects. It is important that the post holder for this role will be someone who is enthusiastic and have the ability to provide a flexible and responsive service. This opportunity has arisen due to ongoing success and expansions within the business and an increased workload through new projects being secured within the company.
They are looking for someone with experience of using AutoCAD and Revit software and who has had exposure to architectural projects in some capacity and ideally possess working experience of contributing within construction projects, although they will consider Graduates who have studied in these areas and have a portfolio of projects they are able to share. Experience of working within a BIM framework is also highly desirable.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to work within a friendly team who all work together as one. The company is currently only providing internal architectural and design services within one sector, but have aspirations to provide these services outwardly to external clients and to establish a prestigious architectural firm in the future.
Revit/AutoCAD Technician Position Overview
* Work closely with company Architects and other building professionals
* Develop project briefs and work on the project progresses
* Prepare and present design proposals using CAD and Revit
* Producing detailed technical proposal drawings, models and visuals
* Responsible for the quality of drawing/rendering productions
Key Skills/Experience Required
* Degree qualified or similar within a relevant industry
* Experience of using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Experience of working on a range of Housing/Residential projects
* Living in or close to the Slough, Berkshire area
* Ability to work independently and efficiently
* Experience of working within a BIM framework would be highly desirable
* Ideally be a car owner/driver (although not essential)
* Proficient in Autodesk Revit 3D
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D
* Knowledge other 3D CAD software e.g. Inventor, Solidworks, etc. would also be an advantage
* Google Docs, MS Office experience
* Good at problem-solving
* Good communication skills
* Team player
* The ability to work under pressure
