Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck Driver

Staffline is recruiting for Counterbalance and Reach FLT Drivers to work at our client's busy distribution centre based at East Midlands Gateway, Kegworth, Derby.

The rate of pay is £11.00 per hour and overtime is available and paid at time and a half after working 39.5 hours in a week.

The following shift patterns are available:

- Continental 4 on 4 off rotating 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am
- Rotating days/afters/nights (2 weeks of each) Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm, 2pm -10pm and 10pm - 6am

You will be required to be flexible to meet the demands of the business.

Your Time at Work

As a Counterbalance/Reach Forklift Driver at this site, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Monitoring the flow of the product to identify stoppages/blockages and investigating the cause to determine the most appropriate resolution
- Operating MHE in line with training and ensuring that all safety processes and procedures are followed on every occasion
- Regularly completing safety checks and reporting any accidents/damages immediately
- Operating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carrying out other computer-based tasks
- Contributing to continuous improvement with projects and ideas

As well as the above, you'll be sure to work in a safe manner, observing all trained Safe System of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect FLT Driver has experience in a similar role and can work well individually or as part of a team.

You'll be heavily customer orientated and will have the ability to prioritise your tasks with ease.

You will be digitally minded and will have a flexible approach to work, while being adaptable to change.

You'll have a keen eye for detail and will be able to work on your initiative with ease.

Experience in a similar role is required.

We need our workers to hold a valid Forklift Truck Certificate (Reach or Counterbalance).
