We at Staffline are delighted to recruit for our prestigious client based on Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough who is looking for Trainee Barb Machine Operators and Trainee Hinge Machine Operators to join their ever-growing team. The client is one of very few companies in the UK producing Steel rods and steel fencing for numerous clienteles in the country.

This position is for a Trainee Barb or Hinge Machine operator but experience in a similar role is essential as training will be particular to the specific machines on site. This is a very skilled position. We are currently recruiting for a 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shift. This will be Monday to Friday. Pay rates start at £9.40 - £12. 48ph
dependant on role and shift and increase after 12 weeks.

Your Time at Work
6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shift. This will be Monday to Friday

The day to day running and maintenance of the machines including fixing minor breakdowns and blockages of the raw product
Feeding the raw product into the machines correctly and safely
Setting the machines correctly and to specification for the particular product to be made
Quality checking of the machines throughout production and for the finished product
Wrapping the finished product correctly and to specification
Adhering to all health and safety on site at all times
Keeping to accurate measurements with a very good eye for detail throughout production
Managing your own work load and being trusted to complete your tasks according to the timeline given

Our Perfect Worker
Have similar experience in this job role and industry - this is essential
Have good basic knowledge of machinery and be mechanically minded - training is provided for the specified machines but you will be expected to know basic machinery running
Have very good attention to detail as this job requires perfect accuracy at all times whilst running and setting the machine
Be trustworthy as you will be in charge of your own work load and keeping to specification
Have a good understanding of English - this is essential
Be reliable and willing to be taken on permanently after 12 weeks
