An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Ward Manager and Deputy Nurse Ward Manager to join a private mental health hospital in Chelmsford!

Deputy Ward Manager Temporary pay rate:
*Week Days: £25ph ltd
*Nights & Saturdays: £27ph ltd
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £28ph ltd

Ward Manager Temporary pay rate:
*Week Days: £28ph ltd
*Nights & Saturdays: £30ph ltd
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £31ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Ward Manager (Eating Disorder & CAMHS Units)
oMonday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00
*Deputy Ward Manager (CAMHS & Mixed Acute Unit)
o3 shifts for 3 weeks (34.5 hours per week)
o4 shifts on the 4th week (46 hours)
oDay shifts (Apply online only)
oNight shifts (Apply online only).
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP with an initial 3-month contract length, potentially the opportunity to be considered on a permanent basis.

Daily Duties
The hospital support mental health difficulties such as: anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, phobias, autism spectrum disorders, eating disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-harm, ADHD and sleep problems.

Nursing responsibilities will include:
*Managing a caseload of service users to assist in specialist assessments and evidence based interventions such as CBT
*Assess and manage risk, review progress and provide documentation and reports
Deputy/Ward Manager responsibilities will include:
*Supervise team members and contribute to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team
*Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicate requirements to the wider team
*Contributes to the process of collaboratively assessing and acting on risks of harm, danger and abuse
*To lead, co-ordinate and support the ward based team
*Independently assess the patient's needs, identify their goals and work with the patient and family towards achieving them
*Participate in clinical supervision
*Initiate and manage change effectively
*Ensure the ward environment is risk managed and that infection control is pro-actively managed
*Deputise for the Ward manager as required (Deputy Ward Manager)
