We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Development Manager to join an established, respected privately owned warehouse and distribution company who provide UK and European palletised freight distribution and worldwide air freight and cargo services with established network partners and a member of a major pallet network.
You will be managing a highly commercial operation in a fast paced environment, to help and develop a business plan, develop new clients and secure new business, working towards and supporting company goals, values and objectives and ensuring the highest level of quality of service is provided to internal and external stakeholders
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Responsible for transport and distribution operations
Budgeting & KPI management
Fleet contribution Compliance & Legislation
Oversee multi depots
Fulfilling customer expectation
Challenge and improve existing proces
Expand by freight forwarding and build a network of sub-contractors
The Candidate Experience of
effectively running a successful transport function in a high pressure environment
Commercial and financial awareness
Commercial approach to solving problems and developing business processes innovative
This is an opportunity for an experienced, highly organised individual with commercial attributes and ambition to progress.
Initially the role will oversee the current Transport Operations Team to enhance utilisation and profitability Benefits Pension scheme On Site parking
