Senior Business Development and Bid Manager- Home based
We are currently supporting a thriving national training provider who has a great reputation for quality, staff retention, and a great place to work.
Due to growth, this position has been created through growth and is available immediately.
As an experienced Business Development and Bid Manager, you can expect to receive a highly competitive salary alongside an excellent bonus potential and a genuine opportunity to progress to Business Development Director within six months.
Role Summary- Senior Business Development and Bid Manager.
The appointed person will be working directly alongside the Senior Management Team and will be the primary lead for all tendering and procurement activity within the Business Development function.
Typical duties and responsibilities of the Senior Business Development Bid Manager
Build, manage, and develop relationships with all Prime funding partners and directly with the relevant commissioning bodies.
To monitor all public procurement portals and to produce weekly reports on the opportunities available to the business.
To build relationships with key programme commissioners to enhance understanding of priorities and key objectives in different regions and on a national basis.
To build relationships with other training providers and FE colleges to enhance partnership working opportunities.
To manage an end-to-end tender process for contract opportunities including programmes funded by ESF, AEB, Apprenticeships and others.
Working alongside the Managing Director to oversee contract implementation following on from successful bids.
Attend and lead meetings to provide updates on funding opportunities.
Attending networking events and other meetings organised within the delivery regions to gain a better understanding of needs in a local area.
Reading, disseminating and turning into strategy reports produced by LEP's and Local Authorities on Labour Market priorities.
Skills and Experience required for the Senior Business Development and Bid Manager
Previous experience working in a Bid Manager role within Work-Based Learning
Extensive knowledge ESFA/ESF funding streams and funding methodology.
Proven track record in successful tendering for public funded education contracts including ESF, AEB, DWP, and Apprenticeships
Strong track record in building relationships and managing stakeholders
Experience in managing performance through people
Experience in budget management
Ideally, be educated to degree standard.
